Main Ingredient: Geraniol, which must undergo special processing before it can be used on pets.

Safety Principles:
First Improvement: Hydrophilic Modification
Cats have poor excretion capacity for lipophilic substances. Through chemical means, hydrophilic groups are introduced into the molecular chain to accelerate excretion.
Conversion Method: Epoxidation followed by ring-opening, introducing multiple hydroxyl groups to convert into polyols, then further oxidized to carboxylates.
Safety Principle: Increases the polarity of the molecule, making it more water-soluble so that the substance can be excreted directly through the kidneys without passing through the cat's most vulnerable organ, the liver.

The core logic is: Changing the Partition Coefficient (LogP) of the molecule, shifting it from "tending to remain in body fat and the nervous system" to "tending to dissolve in water and be excreted via the kidneys."

Second Improvement: Macromolecular Engineering

If the modified molecules are combined with a polymer carrier, the molecular weight exceeds 60,000 Daltons (surpassing the glomerular filtration limit). These substances will not enter the renal tubules but are instead excreted via the hepatobiliary pathway through feces, or remain on the sprayed surface without being absorbed.

These large molecular substances cannot enter the renal filtration system at all, eventually being secreted into bile by the liver and excreted with feces, or not absorbed by the gut/skin at all. This avoids secondary damage to the kidneys or animals with pre-existing kidney disease.

On the other hand, these huge molecular structures are physically unable to penetrate the skin pores of amphibians, nor can they pass through the semi-permeable membranes of their gills. The substance remains in the water or settles, without entering the circulatory system.
